About

Ingleside of Oxford is a one-woman creative studio founded by Caitlin, an artist and furniture restorer based in the heart of Oxford. She transforms second-hand, overlooked, and once-loved pieces of furniture into vibrant, thoughtfully designed works of art—each one completely unique.

Caitlin was inspired to start Ingleside after noticing the extraordinary amount of waste in today’s furniture market. Too many well-made pieces are discarded long before the end of their life. She wanted to offer a joyful, sustainable alternative: giving beautifully crafted furniture a new beginning through colour, pattern, and imagination.

Every item that enters Caitlin’s workshop is treated individually. She lets the shape, history, and character of each piece guide her design, resulting in one-of-a-kind creations that can’t be found anywhere else. Once painted, every piece is sealed with three protective layers of varnish, ensuring durability, longevity, and a finish meant to be enjoyed for years.

At Ingleside of Oxford, sustainability meets artistry—celebrating craftsmanship, reducing waste, and bringing new life to furniture that deserves to be cherished again.
